Nederweert is getting a natural burial ground and crematorium on the edge of the Weerterbos forest. The design of the crematorium resembles a Limburg farmhouse and provides space for up to 500 guests in the auditorium. There will also be six rooms for, for example, evening wakes. The goal was to create a sustainable project, and therefore an electric cremation furnace from Crematech was chosen. The heat from the furnace will be used to further reduce the building’s energy consumption, and solar panels will be installed. Additionally, thousands of trees and shrubs will be planted around the crematorium and on the natural burial ground. A fantastic project that we are proud to be part of!
